A good beard makes anyone look more attractive. Even if you don’t have a face that is very attractive, growing an attractive beard can instantly turn the tide in your favor. Some things can help you grow a healthy beard and getting enough nutrients for your beard hair is one of the more important ones.

If you want to grow a healthy beard, beard oil is pretty much mandatory. Here are the best beard oil recipes that we have compiled up just for you. All of these beard oil recipes are homemade, and these DIY beard oils will help you grow a healthier beard without you having to worry about any potential risks. Beard oils that you make yourself are not only healthier and organic, but they will also cost considerably less, and you can choose the ingredients that you want!

Without further ado, let us begin:

Basic conditioner

Sometimes the best thing that you can have is something that is basic and gets the job done without needing any sort of extra benefits. Basic conditioner is not only a simple homemade beard oil recipe, but it is also a great way to start your future as a beard oil expert. Think of it as a beginner’s DIY beard oil: something that can help kickstart your world of good beards.

The ingredients for this conditioner are:

  • 1 ounce of Liquid Coconut Oil – also known as Fractionated Coconut Oil
  • 1 ounce of Jojoba Oil
  • 8 to 12 drops of Lavender Oil

Here is how you can cook up a basic conditioner:

  1. Clean and sterilize a vessel that is big enough to handle the stirring of oils.
  2. Add in liquid and jojoba oil in equal quantity and mix until they are blended. If you see any issues, your vessel might not be dry enough.
  3. Add drops of lavender oil to make this conditioner smell good enough for daily use.
  4. Mix a little and thoroughly transfer your newly created beard oil into a bottle for daily use.

A little DIY oil

If your little experiment with basic conditioner was a success, or if you have already made a homemade beard oil in the past, you might want to try something a little more complex. This special beard oil comes from Tiffany La Forge, and looking at the ingredients, it looks like DIY beard oil that can be used to provide almost all the benefits of any beard oil in the market.

unbranded beard oil bottle

The ingredients for this beard oil are:

  • 1 ounce of Jojoba Oil
  • Half an ounce of Avocado Oil
  • A quarter of an ounce of Almond Oil and Apricot Oil
  • 14 to 20 drops of Texas Cedarwood Essential Oil
  • 7 drops of both Tea Tree Essential Oil and Orange Essential Oil

You can follow the same instructions from the basic conditioner, only changing lavender oil with essential oils. Keep your new DIY beard oil at room temperature and away from direct sunlight.

Dandruff be gone oil

Flaky skin is one of the worst issues that many men have to deal with when they are trying to grow a beard. Skin becomes flaky when it is not getting enough moisture. This special homemade DIY oil can help cure your beard skin of that problem.

You will need:

  • 1 ounce of Apricot Kernel oil
  • 1 ounce of Jojoba Oil
  • 5 drops of both Castor Oil and Cedarwood Oil

The instructions include using a sterilized vessel to mix up both Apricot Kernel oil and Jojoba oil until they are completely blended and then adding drops. The same instructions as last time.

Subtle soothing beard oil

If you despise strong smells, you will fall in love with this unique blend of homemade beard oil that adds only subtle smell to you.

beard oil in hand

Here are the ingredients if you wish to make your least-smelling beard oil:

  • 1 ounce of Jojoba Oil
  • Half an ounce of Sunflower Seed Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil and Argan Oil
  • 5 to 10 drops of Sandalwood Oil

Follow the same instructions as the basic conditioner instructions, and don’t forget Sandalwood Oil as it will be working as the aroma for your beard oil. If you feel like your oil is a little too greasy, reduce the amount of sunflower seed oil.

Burst of citrus mint oil

Unlike the previous homemade beard oil, if you adore beard oil that has strong smells, you will like the burst of citrus mint oil that you will now cook up. Not only is it a strong smell, but it can also help keep your beard free of dandruff. One special ingredient can also help keep your damp beard free of fungal infections.

The ingredients include:

  • Half an ounce of Jojoba Oil and Argan Oil
  • 2-3 drops of Lime Oil and Tea Tree Oil
  • 3-4 drops of Peppermint Oil

Mix the Jojoba Oil and Argan Oil in a sterilized pan and ensure they are properly blended before adding lime oil, tea tree oil and peppermint oil in the fray.

no-essential oil beard oil

If you don’t like essential oils or are allergic to a lot of them, you can make the best DIY beard oil without requiring any of them. This is more of a universal recipe guide, where you can make your variant of beard oil.

You can choose between two of these oils, and even three if you are feeling adventurous:

  • Argan Oil
  • Apricot Kernel Oil
  • Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
  • Almond Oil
  • Hazelnut Oil
  • Avocado Oil

Just blend all of these like you would blend any other beard oil on this list. I would recommend you experimenting with different ratios to find a scent you love!

Herb Garden

This was taken from Danny’s beard oil recipe, this herb garden has a lot of various fragrances, and are a good takeaway for many. Here are the ingredients to Herb Garden DIY beard oil:

  • Half an ounce of Sweet Almond Oil and Avocado Oil
  • 10 drops of Oregano, Juniper, and Patchouli Essential Oil
  • 7 to 8 drops of Pine Essential Oil

Mix these in a sterilized pan and you should be done with perhaps the most herb-smelling beard oil you will ever find.

Summary

When you’ve made your own first beard oil, you should feel proud of it! As explained in the topics above, it is not hard to make your own. Plus, making your own oil and giving it away to friends and family is actually a pretty cool experience! 🙂
